WELCOME

I would like to welcome back all of our faculty and students, as we enter the 2020/21 school year.  We have so many exciting things happening in our district, and I am looking forward to another great year.  As we move into this new decade, the City View administrators and school board members adopted a new mission statement for our district: “Empowering Students to Build a Better Future.” This is what we strive for in each child’s life.  City View administrators, teachers, and faculty want to make sure every child develops the necessary skills to be successful in life.  Every program is designed with a mindset of helping our students to meet any goal they have set for life after graduation.

As you have probably witnessed upon visiting our campuses, construction is moving along quickly.  Last year we saw the completion of our new band hall and library at the high school and complete restoration of our bathrooms at the elementary.  We are starting this school year with the addition of five classrooms and bathrooms on our middle school campus.  This will be the first year that our sixth-grade students will be housed on our middle school campus.  October will bring about the completion of our new 16,000 square-foot field house, highlighting the new 4,000 square-foot weight room.  This winter we will be opening our new administrative office across from the high school, and next spring we will be unveiling our brand new CTE building.  The addition of this building will bring our CTE program up to 21st Century standards, allowing us to add culinary and electrical classes to our programs.  This building will also house our nursing program, robotics, business, and computer technology classes.

We were able to save enough money within our budget to purchase six new busses for our students, with two of them being exquisite travel busses--allowing our students to travel in style.

We have so many things to be thankful for at City View, and we are very excited about our future.  I want each parent to know that we care about every one of our students and pledge to do our best to keep them safe while they are in our care.  We know how much each of you love your children, and we don’t take lightly the trust you have given us to treat them with love and respect.

I have been the Superintendent at City View for two and a half years and thank each of you for the opportunity to serve this amazing community.  I have truly enjoyed leading this school district and will always throw my heart over the fence, giving this district my very best.  I am so looking forward to seeing all of our students return on August 20th.  Go Mustangs!!
