It was such an inspiring experience to see the campus, learn about the opportunities ahead, and envision the next step in our journeys.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes at City View Jr/Sr High! 🇺🇸
Today, we gathered together for our annual Veterans Day assembly, a tradition that means so much to our school and community. Our honored veterans were treated to a breakfast, and then celebrated in a heartfelt ceremony where the 8th grade class presented them with handmade cards. This event is always a special moment of connection, gratitude, and remembrance.
A huge thank you to Coach Erskine, a veteran himself, for organizing this meaningful event each year. Coach Erskine’s dedication to honoring our veterans truly makes this day unforgettable for all of us. 🇺🇸
Thank you to all veterans for your service and sacrifice. We are grateful for you today and every day.
This semester is the inaugural semester for the City View Tech Crew. As part of the course, students are required to pass the Dell Student Technician Certification before they are allowed to work on the Dell Chromebooks. After 2 days of certification testing, thses students managed to gain their certification to become official technicians for the school district.
🎃 Last week was all about Halloween fun in Mrs. Bishop's 8th-grade science class! 🧪🧙♀️
Our young scientists got hands-on with some spooky experiments:
Created foamy elephant toothpaste 🐘
Played with eerie boo bubbles 👻
Crafted gooey string slime 🕸️
Explored the chemistry of candy reactions 🍬
Learning has never been so fun (or so spooky)! 🧬⚗️

A couple of things you might have missed if you just paid attention to the scoreboard after an incredible game on Friday night...
-The City View Band & Athletics Booster Clubs teamed up on Thursday to have the annual team dinner for every single football player, volleyball player, cheerleader, and band student at the high school. This brought everyone together and came to be because of the dedication of our parents, students, and community.
-Volleyball hosted Pink Out night to recognize and honor those who have battled breast cancer.
-Our City View Unified football team played a great game against Holliday. They were also the VIPs at this week's pep rally.
-The entire stadium sported purple ribbons to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer and to support our very own Coach A.
-Band hosted the first alumni night and recognized the past and present Mustangs who have made us great.
-Over 50 City View tots joined varsity cheer on the field in the 3rd annual tot camp performance. The stands were filled with proud parents, and the field was packed with excited littles.
-The band turned around and competed in area contest on Saturday, advancing to the finals and placing 5th in the area.
ALL of these things are what make our community stronger and make City View a great place to be.

Today, we had the privilege of taking our Financial Math class to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth, TX.
This is one of two facilities in the entire country that prints our currency. The students had a wonderful time seeing the currency being printed, viewing the history of our currency, and asking incredible questions throughout. We are so proud of each of these students and how well they represented City View. Go Mustangs!

Senior Picture Info: Reminder: Senior pictures are TOMORROW! Please see the following regarding what students need to wear- (please note tank tops and spaghetti straps need to be worn under school-appropriate shirts). BOYS will need to wear a noncollared t-shirt of any color, so we can cover that with a tux top and shirt/tie top plus the cap & gown and Tux. GIRLS will need a tank top or spaghetti strap top so we can place the drape on them, and they will have bare shoulders for the drape. The cap & gown will be covered for them in what they have on already.
