I was impressed with the students efforts to work hard for this years Region 2 FCCLA Contest in Waco! We walked away with a top 5 finisher and advanced to state in an individual event. Couple of other events didn't quite go as planned but the effort was there and it was a great learning experience! Thank you for all you do!

Our FFA officers had a great time going down to the elementary to introduce stock shows and animal projects to our younger kids by hosting an event called "The Mini"! Throughout this past week, the 2nd grade teachers helped out by helping the kids decorate their animals that they were given. Once Thursday rolled around, our 2nd graders got to "exhibit" their animals to our FFA officers and compete against each other for a shot to get a banner-- just like how an actual stock show works! We hope this event sparks interest throughout our younger kids to get more involved in the show industry and agriculture! Kids are able to start showing livestock once 3rd grade rolls around, so if your little one has any interests in this, please email Rusty Brixey, rbrixey@cityview-isd.net or Kennedy Swan, kswan@cityview-isd.net !!!💙

Advanced Culinary Arts students worked this past week in making homemade pizza dough and sauce. We were able to have a friendly competition to create their own pizza. Very pleased with their creativity and hard work this week! Culinary Arts class began making French Bread and Marinara as we continue the Italian food unit. Once completed we would like to showcase these talents for others to try.
